Mycorrhizae
While the term ‘mycorrhizae’ is not a brand product in itself, scientists have finally been able to isolate this beneficial fungus so it can now be added to our own gardens. So just what the heck is this stuff?…
OK-- think about walking through the woods, and when you kick over a moist clump of leaves there's a lot of stringy white stuff on the undersides. That’s mycorrhizae, a naturally occurring fungus commonly found in very old, very organic soils, and not existent in our common garden soil, no matter how organic it is. Mycorrhizae attaches to the roots of plants and does the following:
- Acts as a natural inoculant and prevents soil-borne diseases from entering the plant.
- Increases plant root systems up to 500%, therefore increasing a plant's ability to absorb more water, more nutrients, more oxygen so they grow faster.
- Increases phosphorous uptake of plant, which promotes flowers formation.
- Works perfectly with the bacteria provided from SoilSoup®; promoting environmental symbiosis (harmony) that makes your garden soil as healthy as can be.
- Plant bloom, plant life span, plant vigor and plant resistance to disease and environmental stress are significantly increased.
